Fannie and Sprout: Beautiful Gifts to Give that Give!

Posted by Carrie Burgan on Sunday, November 8, 2009,
Etsy, a website featuring independent and local-to-you artisans, is "your place to buy and sell all things handmade". Right this very second, I am seeing listings for homemade apricot jalapeƱo jam ($6.50), nutty lil' squirrel glass vases ($14.00), turquoise/teal gloves with olive edges ($24.00), and a bullet shell necklace ($42.00). That's just part the main page!  One of the features that I find particularly helpful on Etsy is the "Shop Local" feature, which lets me input my ZIP code to rec...

Muffin Revisited

Posted by Carrie Burgan on Saturday, September 26, 2009,
So many of you have found Covenant Rescue Advocacy based on your searches for Muffin the dog. (SEE: "On a Mission for Muffin".) We are also taking suggestions of items to list!  Basically, all proceeds from these sales will be paid back to CRA in the form of Amazon...

Hi! My name is Heather Laszlo and I fell in love with a little dog at the The Humane Society of Newark, NJ about a month ago. Her name is Muffin. Muffin belonged to a family who let the children play roughly with her and then one day, it happened. ...

The Scarlett Saga

Posted by Carrie Burgan on Monday, August 10, 2009,
Scarlett has now been with our family for five days. I enjoy her presence and she is really opening up to me, becoming more courageous by the day. We think she's just precious and appreciate the time we have with her. This relaxed, happy gal is going to make someone very happy!

Scarlett came to us from her owner. Her owner had a small child that is allergic to the rabbit, so much so that he was getting hive-type reactions and vomiting. Ms. Scarlett was housed in the garage while a new home was...
